For custom pieces, including engagement rings, wedding rings, and resetting family heirlooms, our process starts with setting up a complimentary consultation, which can be done by texting or calling us at (323) 913-1444, emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or scheduling an appointment online. We love details, so after we answer any pre-consultation questions that you might have, feel free to email us any ideas, images, or photos of family heirloom stones you’d like to use, and anything else you’d like to share. It’s the little things that help us guide you towards the perfect design, which is what we’re all about!
When you sit down with the designer, Liza Shtromberg, she’ll review your design ideas with you, but if you’re starting from scratch, not to worry! You’ll also review her portfolio and try on her samples. Liza will help you identify elements you like from various designs to create your own original and personalized piece, so that it really represents your intentions and shows off your aesthetic. It’s an easy, collaborative process! Liza really believes that this experience should be fun and exciting, and has created a process that removes any anxiety from the jewelry shopping experience.
The advantage of working directly with Liza is not only her personal assurance of the highest quality standards, both in design and materials, but also her attention to detail and exquisite craftsmanship. Liza’s innovative techniques and collaborative approach makes sure that your project is truly one-of-a-kind. Since each client and their relationship is special and unique in their style, she makes sure to think outside of the (jewelry) box when working together with you to design the ring of your dreams!
And to make it as easy as possible for you, Liza can work with stones you already have, or she will procure a selection of stones for you, from which you can choose your perfect center stone or side stones. Clients work with a wide range of stones, from traditional white diamonds, to non-traditional raw, uncut diamonds, naturally colored diamonds, and precious stones like emeralds, rubies, and sapphires.
After creating your design and selecting your stones, Liza will provide you with a 3-D image for your approval. This is a conversational process, so please feel free to share your feedback, and Liza will update the 3-D model based upon any edits you provide. Once you approve the 3-D model, Liza will go ahead and put the ring into production, which is a 2-4 week process.
A note on gold-for-trade: Liza does work with stones you inherited or purchased prior to your appointment. You can also bring in gold or platinum that you already own or have inherited and trade it for store credit towards your custom ring or custom piece. Liza is a passionate environmentalist and specializes in recycled metals, so rest assured that your custom project will not be contributing towards harmful mining practices. Liza Shtromberg jewelry doesn’t just look good, it does good, too.
Cultivated by years of experience working one-on-one with clients to create elegant and distinctive pieces, Liza’s custom design process is creative yet meticulous when it comes to your jewelry. So if you feel, like we do, that your jewelry deserves a timeless sparkle and refined details, and you’re looking for it to be an enjoyable experience, you’ve come to the right place!
